About Us

Every fabric has a story. We're here for the next chapter.

Second Stitch is Atlanta's home for secondhand fabric — a place where beautiful materials get a second chance and makers of every skill level can create without breaking the bank (or the planet).

We believe the most sustainable fabric is the one that already exists. Our shelves are stocked with rescued treasures: deadstock from designers, destash finds from fellow sewists, vintage gems, and everything in between. Every yard you take home is a yard that stays out of a landfill — and a story you get to continue.

Our Story

Second Stitch has always been rooted in the Atlanta sewing community, and in 2026 it entered a new chapter under the ownership of Aaronica B. Cole — a sewing educator, costume designer, and content creator who has spent over a decade teaching people that they can absolutely make the things they dream about.

For Aaronica, taking over Second Stitch wasn't just a business decision. It was a love letter to the community that shaped her. As a teacher, she watched too many students hesitate to cut into "the good fabric." As a maker, she knew the magic of finding the perfect print in a destash pile. Second Stitch brings those worlds together: quality fabric at prices that let you experiment, play, and grow — guilt-free.

What We're About

Sustainability, for real. We keep fabric in circulation and out of landfills. Shopping secondhand isn't a compromise — it's the flex.

Making for everybody. Whether you're threading your first machine or drafting your own patterns, you belong here. Our team loves helping you find the right fabric for your project, your budget, and your body.

Community first. We're sewists serving sewists. Come for the fabric, stay for the conversation, leave inspired.

Come Say Hey

Stop by the shop, dig through the new arrivals, and tell us what you're making. We can't wait to see it.

Second Stitch — where great fabric gets a second life, and so do your creative dreams.
